An extremely soft and versatile 100% pure wool from the alpacas in South America. The filaments in alpaca wool are 3 times stronger and have an insulating capacity 7 times that of ordinary lambs wool. Creates very warm and cosy garments, the delicate cloud of filaments making it almost silky and very soft to touch. Very easy to handle and a lovely wool to knit as stitches glide along the needle effortlessly!.
You may use Alpaca for all Drops patterns in Camelia, Silketweed, Silke, Safran, Baby-ull and Cotton Viscose. If you knit with double thread Alpaca, you may use it for patterns in Paris and Alaska as well.
