Out of stock Items
In the rare instance when we don't have your item in stock, it may already be on the way to our warehouse! Should we not have enough of an item on hand to fully fill your order, you will be informed during the ordering and checkout process.
In general, expect any items that are out of stock to arrive here within 5 to 20 days.
Our suppliers are overseas and shipping times can vary.
If you want to place an order for an item that is not fully in stock, please contact us.
Since you only can place an order on an item if we have it in stock, backorders are very rare. If there for some reason will be a backorder, it can be canceled at any time by you.
If your item(s) is not available from our warehouse, your order will fall into a back order status; we will notify you right away and you will be given an option to either wait until the product is available or have a full refund.
You may return most items in their original condition with labels intact within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). We cannot accept retruns on needles and pattern books. If you return a yarn you bought on SALE, you will receive store credit for the returned items instead of a refund.
The return process is really simple.
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button and follow the instructions on the screen.
In most cases you will receive a refund within 5 - 10 business days of giving your package to the return shipper however, in some rare cases you can receive your refund in up to 4 weeks of giving your package to the return shipper. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (1 to 2 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
We usually ship all orders via the United States Postal Service. Sometimes we use other carriers.
Typically orders shipped with USPS Priority Mail are processed and ready for shipping within 24-48 hours after the order has been placed.
Nordic Mart is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or mis-delivered packages. Issues with missing packages need to be addressed with USPS first.
Once the package has left our warehouse you can track the progress of your shipment. Priority Mail is slightly more expensive than Ground/First Class Mail, but ensures faster shipping times if you need an order sooner. Care is taken to make all packages neat and correct.
Ground/First Class packages are usually shipped within 48 hours but may take longer (up to 4 - 10 days). During sale periods this wait time may be longer due to large order volumes.
Cost for shipping in the US are $4.95 flat rate fore Ground/First Class and $6.95 flat rate for Priority Mail
Cost for shipping to Canada varies by size and weight of the order, and ranges from $8.95 to approximately $35 (again, this will depend on the size of your order, and you will be given a ship quote before you finalize the order)
Holding Orders: Once you place an order, it will be processed and shipped as soon as possible. We will contact you regarding any issues with your order to try to get it to you ASAP, otherwise it will ship within our regular shipping times.
We cannot hold orders without a ship date. We can hold an order for up to a week if you need to ensure arrival to a hotel or for a certain event, but we must be notified of the ship date in comments on the order. We cannot hold your order indefinitely or without a ship date, and if we receive an order with no alternate ship date, we will ship the order as soon as possible from the order date.
All patterns are carefully reviewed by Garnstudio, but we make reservation for possible mistakes and can not be held responsible in any way.
